Hugo Bruce(Born near Oxford 1969) is the son of the authors George Bruce and Marie-Louise Bruce. He studied at Bristol art college(Foundation), a degree in painting at City and Guilds, London and a post-graduate in painting at Winchester College in Barcelona. He is currently represented by Espacio Valverde Gallery in Madrid.

Early paintings combined imaginative architectural scenes with references to figures. or parts of the body. But he is better known for sculptural works portraying forms which seem to be in process of transformation or growth, often appaearing to be autonomous forms made by nature.
